Best Private Label & Custom Supplement Manufacturers for Ecommerce Brands (2026)
Six manufacturers compared on what an online seller has to plan: the first order, Amazon or 3PL handoff, and the restock. Pick your channel to jump to the notes that matter most.
Three buying routes, three sets of minimums
Finished catalog stock
Product already made and packed. Fastest test, but you sell a shared formula. Check remaining shelf life and whether the same lot will be available when you reorder.
Private label (white label)
An existing formula filled under your brand. Labels, closures and cartons can carry their own minimums even when the formula does not. Get ownership of your UPC and artwork in writing.
Custom formulation
A formula built to your spec. Expect a development phase before production and format-specific minimums. Confirm who owns the formula if you later move suppliers.

Manufacturer profiles
No. 1 · Top pick for catalog-to-custom ecommerce launches
Peakfinity Labs
- Route
- Ready-to-ship catalog, private label, custom formulation
- Channel handoff
- FNSKU barcodes, FBA labels, polybagging, case packs, direct fulfillment-center shipping, in-house 3PL and DTC order handling
Why it is our top pick: One supplier can run an eligible catalog test order, move the product into owned multi-format production, and hand units to Amazon or a 3PL, with conditional rush and credit terms for reorders.
We rank it first for one reason: continuity. A brand can test demand on eligible finished stock, then move to its own formula without changing who handles labels, case packs and inbound shipments. Fewer supplier handoffs means fewer chances for a barcode or case count to change between runs.
The company states it has run since 1980 (45+ years), with a US team in Exton, PA and its own 350,000 sq ft cGMP, FDA-registered facility. It cites 1.2M+ units a day across operations and about six lines per dosage format. That is total operating volume, not bottles a day or capacity reserved for any client.
Listed credentials: cGMP, FDA Registered, Halal, ISO 17025, NSF, ISO 9001, USDA Organic and Kosher. Confirm current certificates and which apply to your SKU. ISO 17025 covers laboratory competence, not every product, and FDA registration is not FDA approval. Terms include Net 30 up to Net 60 for credit-approved buyers and company-stated 24/7 phone support. Reclaime and Fleava are cited as operating examples; this guide has not independently audited them.
Confirm before ordering: Who applies each unit, case and pallet label and who handles testing (TIC) requests; current Amazon eligibility for the product; stock expiry on catalog lots; reorder allocation; and contracted production dates. Rush timing and restock windows are not guarantees.
No. 2 · Connected DTC orders and inventory reporting
Makers Nutrition
- Route
- Capsules, softgels, powders, gummies; design, printing, packaging, fulfillment
- Channel handoff
- Shopify, BigCommerce and cart integrations; Amazon and eBay SKU mapping; tracking emails; 24/7 web reporting
Why it made the list: Its published integration list and stock visibility details give sellers a clear picture of how replenishment and order handoff would work.
The fulfillment page names cart connections, marketplace SKU mapping, inventory transfer and barcode scanning for both B2B and B2C orders. The fees above are service terms, not a product minimum. Shipping, storage and cart fees are extra.
Confirm before ordering: Current fees and deposit terms on a dated quote; whether FNSKU labeling and case prep are in scope, since a marketplace connection does not imply FBA prep; product MOQ and production time per format.

No. 3 · Small stock launches with sister-company fulfilment
Vox Nutrition
- Route
- 115+ private label options, custom and in-house blends, label design and printing
- Channel handoff
- Direct Amazon FBA shipping; ShipCentral sister-company fulfillment; lot CoA
Why it made the list: It names a small stock threshold and specific FBA and sister-3PL handoffs instead of a vague fulfillment promise.
A separate on-demand program for labeling, packing and shipping is advertised as pay-as-you-go with no minimum. That applies to that program, not to Vox custom formulas. Check availability, setup or subscription fees, and the actual contract.
Confirm before ordering: Case prep and test document scope, stock expiry, who owns the forecast and label files.
No. 4 · Small stock runs with Amazon testing coordination
Vitakem
- Route
- 200+ stock products, in-house label design
- Channel handoff
- Listing help, regulatory guidance, testing coordination with ISO 17025 accredited lab partners
Why it made the list: A published stock entry point plus named testing coordination and label design gives a buyer concrete onboarding questions to ask.
The Amazon services page describes reports that Amazon accepts. That does not prove every report or ASIN will pass. FBA means your inventory sits in Amazon warehouses, so you still buy the stock.
Confirm before ordering: The current approved testing (TIC) path and fees, who owns the documents, the lab panel, barcode and prep scope, and the ship date.

No. 5 · Published reorder clocks and documentation support
SMP Nutra
- Route
- Stock formulas and custom by format
- Channel handoff
- Storage, pick-pack-ship, inventory software; Amazon case handling $2.50/case plus shipping
Why it made the list: Separate published clocks for first orders, reorders and documents make planning measurable.
Amazon Letters of Guarantee and CoA requests are answered in 1 to 2 business days. That is document turnaround, not product delivery. Custom examples like 2,500 bottles per flavor for powders and 100,000 stick packs are different formats and should not be compared head to head. The FAQ says it does not dropship.
Confirm before ordering: Which stock minimum applies to your SKU, and the exact FBA unit and case label scope. Case handling depends on bottle condition.
No. 6 · Inventory support and direct Amazon shipments
NutraPak USA
- Route
- Branded private label products, packaging services
- Channel handoff
- Inventory management; shipping direct to brand, warehouse or Amazon
Why it made the list: Stated inventory management and direct Amazon delivery remove a step compared with routing stock through a brand's office.
The pages do not show which formats are made in-house, so ask before assuming one facility does everything.
Confirm before ordering: Who manufactures and releases the SKU, the test panel, FNSKU, case and pallet prep, inventory system access and total service cost.
Ecommerce launch planner
Enter one SKU. Demand is non-subscription units a day plus subscription orders divided by the delivery interval. Add only lead-time stages that do not overlap. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent.
Amazon handoff checklist
"Amazon-ready" is a prep scope, not approval. Check current Seller Central requirements for each ASIN before the run is booked.
- Product identity: a brand-owned GS1 GTIN (UPC or EAN). Add an FNSKU only where Amazon requires one for your account.
- Barcode placement and scan quality. Where policy requires it, cover extra scannable codes so only one reads.
- Label review: Supplement Facts, identity statement, net contents, ingredients, business name and claims.
- Lot and expiry printed where a receiving clerk can read them.
- Unit, case, pallet and shipment labels, with who applies each one named in the quote.
- Case counts, tamper seals, and leak or heat protection where the SKU needs them.
- Testing: the currently approved lab (TIC) workflow. A generic CoA or FDA registration does not guarantee approval.
Reorder and subscription planning
Schedule backward
Start from the date stock must be sellable. Subtract receiving delays, freight, QA hold and release, production and component arrival. Rush slots rarely cover unconfirmed ingredients, new labels, lab release or Amazon appointments. Book only accepted runs.
3PL is not your billing platform
Your subscription app charges customers; the warehouse ships. Confirm SKU aliasing, bundles, return quarantine, FEFO picking, expiry alerts, reserved subscription stock and a lot recall drill. Price pick-pack, storage, postage, returns and integration apart from the per-bottle quote.
Forecast the real number
Promotions, new subscribers, churn and refunds move demand. Count sellable stock apart from quarantined or inbound units, reserve subscription stock, and review each SKU weekly against quotes rather than headline capacity.
FAQ: private label and custom manufacturing for ecommerce
What is the difference between private label, white label and custom supplement manufacturing?
Private label puts your brand on a manufacturer's existing formula. White label is the same idea and does not give you a unique formula. Custom manufacturing builds a formula to your spec, which adds development time and usually higher minimums.
Is a UPC the same as an FNSKU?
No. A GS1 GTIN such as a UPC or EAN identifies your product and should be owned by your brand. An FNSKU is Amazon's label for your seller inventory when Amazon requires it. An ASIN is a catalog number, not a barcode.
What does Amazon-ready mean for a supplement manufacturer?
It describes a prep scope: barcodes, labels, case packs and documents. It is not a certification and does not mean Amazon will approve the listing. Your brand still owns the listing and claims.
Why is a launch lead time longer than a reorder?
A first run includes artwork approval, new components and sometimes formulation. Reorders reuse approved labels and tooling. SMP Nutra, for example, publishes 8 to 10 weeks for new customers and 6 to 8 weeks for reorders.
How do I set a subscription restock cadence?
Estimate daily demand from active subscriptions divided by the delivery interval, add other sales, and compare on-hand cover to your full lead time plus a buffer. Agree the reorder cadence in writing with the manufacturer.
Is a fulfillment minimum the same as an MOQ?
No. An MOQ is the smallest production order. A fulfillment minimum, like Makers Nutrition's $2,000 a month, is a service charge for storage and shipping. Budget them separately.
Method
We read public manufacturer pages on November 8, 2026 and compared launch route, evidenced minimum and its unit, formulation, filling and testing support, packaging, and scale-up handoffs. No factory visits or certificate checks. Company statements are not independent verification, and order reflects fit, not a score. Read more about the guide.
